Dance-Movement Therapy takes a body-oriented approach to psychotherapy with the premise that psychological change must go deeper than words … We engage the body to unfold the many stories written into our neuro-muscular patterning, with real possibilities to change how we see, feel and respond to the world.

Research has now established that dancing enhances mental health, improves brain functioning, and promotes biochemical re-balancing leading to improved mood and outlook. These benefits can be multiplied by using dance as a medium for self-awareness and creating changes in ourselves and our lives.

Dance For Living programs use creative movement to unfold and reveal patterns underlying how we move and act in the world. We explore alternative ways of moving and interacting with others, along with tools and resources to help establish new templates for seeing situations, approaching obstacles, and transitioning from old to new patterns. Positive outcomes include increased confidence, emotional self-regulation, insight into problems and transformed relationship dynamics.
